Goal
To promote sustainable decisions for development of the local coastal communities. To promote public participation, involving citizens groups to the planning process in coastal areas. To create a stronger participation and influence from the environmental NGO´s in the region in the planning process and for sustainable development in the coastal zones. To raise the public awareness concerning bad and good decisions and planning made by authorities. To collect and distribute positive examples. To develop CCB as an international instrument for increasing the pressure to the developers and polluters, through strengthening of the national NGO´s in their work. To lobby for strong legislations for protection of the coastal zones that effectively control the construction of private buildings.

To promote sustainable coastal development in coastal zones by e.g. organising seminars and meetings, producing and disseminating information material and publications, watchdogging illegal constructions, raising awarenesss among citizens and authorities about problems in the coastal zone as well as to involve the public in issues connected to sustainable development in the coastal zones. To promote the ICZM approach in discussions on regional coastal planning in order to improve public participation nad sustainable development in particular when investments are conflicting with the Natura 2000 network and the Habitat and Birds directives.
