CCB Sub Areas:
Promotion of Baltic Sea sustainable fishing practices

Goal
To promote the development of practices for a sustainable Baltic Sea fisheries with a precautionary and ecosystem approach.
Raise awareness, lobby to influence national, regional Baltic and European institutions for future successful management and development of plans for sustainable Baltic Sea fisheries. Promote effective programmes for recovery of the Baltic Sea cod stock.

Activities
Different activities will be performed to promote sustainable fishing practices in the Baltic Sea like e.g. to lobby and to give presentation of CCB views, to participate in public consultation and stakeholders meetings on Baltic Sea fisheries with DG Fisheries, to produce and to disseminate various CCB position papers and publications connected to sustainable fisheries in the Baltic Sea region, with proposals for future strategies, more sustainable procedures and to support the implementation of the new CFP. CCB will have a seat as a stakeholder in the Baltic fisheries RAC. To lobby for public participation, openess and transparency in development of national fisheries policies.
