CCB aims to improve the protection of threatened species such as the critically endangered Baltic Proper harbour porpoise, the european eel and our endemic wild salmon stocks by supporting further establisment of Marine Protected Areas (MPAs), implementing bycatch mitigation measures, and continuing to push
to phase out targeted eel fishery and especially the recreational fishery.

Finally, we support the development of a changed management of salmon as well as eel, and propose concretisation of restoration targets for upstream migration barriers, agreed as measure in the new Baltic Sea Action Plan (HELCOM) .
