What is HELCOM?
The Baltic Marine Environment Protection Commission – also known as the Helsinki Commission (HELCOM) – is an intergovernmental organization (IGO) and a regional sea convention in the Baltic Sea area. HELCOM was established about four decades ago to protect the marine environment of the Baltic Sea from all sources of pollution through intergovernmental cooperation. On the 18.06.2020 HELCOM hold online from 11:30 to 13:30CET the First Meeting of the Drafting Group for the Updated Baltic Sea Action Plan.
