What is ASCOBANS?
ASCOBANS was concluded in 1991 as the Agreement on the Conservation of Small Cetaceans of the Baltic and North Seas (ASCOBANS) under the auspices of the Convention on Migratory Species (CMS or Bonn Convention) and entered into force in 1994. To know more about it.
Opis
The 26th Meeting of the ASCOBANS Advisory Committee (AC26) was held online, as decided by 9th Meeting of the Parties (MOP9).
Ida Carlén, CCB Biodiversity and Nature Conservation Officer took part in this event.

For the meeting, Parties were requested to report on pressures and threats to small cetaceans as per Resolution 8.1 (Rev.MOP9):
