Description

Polish Ecological Club in Cracow, Gliwice City Chapter, organised the conference "Swamps and wetlands in the Baltic Sea basin", which took place on October 27-28, 2022 at the largest biodynamic farm in Europe in Juchowo, near Szczecinek, Poland.

The main subject of the conference was the exchange of knowledge (lectures, discussions, field trip) on the importance and need to protect wetlands. The impact of wetlands on the state of the Baltic Sea waters was also discussed. We also looked at the importance of wetlands for biodiversity in the Baltic countries and agriculture.

The Conference was organized in collaboration with Coalition Clean Baltic and was held in a hybrid format (offline and online, via Zoom).
The conference was attended by 28 people in person on the first day, and 17 on the second day. Furthermore, there were over 50 participants who registered online.

- Participation was free of charge.
- Simultaneous translations PL/EN were provided.
- The organizers offered lunch and refreshments.
- Prior registration was required.
