Official meetings of all HELCOM Working and Experts Groups and other subsidiary bodies are postponed due to the HELCOM strategic pause until further notice, however, informal consultation sessions, without Russian participation, are organized and hosted by a Contracting Party.
The informal consultation sessions process and discuss documents and provide guidance and recommendations as to how to progress work.

Description

The Informal consultation session of the HELCOM on the implementation of the regional action plan on marine litter (IC RAP ML 2-2023) was held on April 17, 2023 in Helsinki, Finland.

The Session was attended by Delegations from Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Latvia and Sweden and by Observers from CCB, KIMO International and WWF.

CCB participant in the session:
- Mikhail Durkin, CCB Executive Secretary.

Outcomes of the meeting:
- The Session welcomed the offer by CCB to translate the questionnaire and share it with relevant football associations to get more information and responses.
- The Session took note of the information contained in document 2-5. The Session took note of the invitation by CCB to Contracting Parties and Observers to provide additional information to Mikhail Durkin.
