
Coalition Clean Baltic, Swedish Society for Nature Conservation, the Swedish Board of Agriculture and Swedish Agency for Marine and Water Management are hosting an International conference on Land Based Aquaculture and best available technologies, in Stockholm. This event is a part of the ongoing work to highlight and define best options for sustainable growth of the aquaculture sector, linking both to ongoing work in HELCOM on respective BAT and BEP and to operationalize the use of public money. It is our hope also to potentially identify legal gaps and organic labeling in relation to land based systems.
What: a lunch to lunch event, starting after lunch at 13:00 ending with complimentary lunch at 12:30 second day.
For whom: authorities, producers, scientists and NGOs from the EU.
Focus:
land-based or Recirculating Aquaculture Systems
and their possibility to address risks to the environment and at the same time enable profitable production close to the consumer.
Objective: to explore the best options and best available technique for the future fish farming in BSR and EU.
