Description
The HELCOM Workshop with river basin management authorities was held on 18-20 September 2019 in the premises of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development in Riga, Latvia. The Workshop was jointly organized by HELCOM and the EU-financed project “Actions to develop and identify effective measures to reach GES in the Baltic Sea region” (HELCOM ACTION).
The aim of the HELCOM Workshop was to discuss the alignment of nutrient reduction requirements for individual rivers and the Baltic Sea environment as well as the sufficiency of measures included in the river basin management plans to achieve the Baltic Sea nutrient input reduction targets.
