What is HELCOM?
The Baltic Marine Environment Protection Commission – also known as the Helsinki Commission (HELCOM) – is an intergovernmental organization (IGO) and a regional sea convention in the Baltic Sea area. HELCOM was established about four decades ago to protect the marine environment of the Baltic Sea from all sources of pollution through intergovernmental cooperation. Description
The HELCOM Workshop on Seal-Fisheries Interactions (SFI WS 1-2019) was organized in Copenhagen, Denmark, at the premises of Eigtveds Pakhus (Asiatisk Plads 2 G, 1448 Copenhagen K), on 27 June 2019. The Workshop was held back to back with the Tenth Meeting of the HELCOM Group on Ecosystem-based Sustainable Fisheries (FISH 10-2019), 25-26 June 2019.
The Workshop started at 9:00 on Thursday, 27 June and ended at 16:00 on the same day.
