What is HELCOM?
The Baltic Marine Environment Protection Commission – also known as the Helsinki Commission (HELCOM) – is an intergovernmental organization (IGO) and a regional sea convention in the Baltic Sea area. HELCOM was established about four decades ago to protect the marine environment of the Baltic Sea from all sources of pollution through intergovernmental cooperation. Description
The 13th Meeting of the Working Group on the State of the Environment and Nature Conservation took place online on 5-9 October 2020.
Aimi Hamberg, who works for the Danish Society and Nature Conservation participated to the event under CCB. Ida Carlén, CCB Biodiversity Officer also attended the meeting.
