Official meetings of all HELCOM Working and Experts Groups and other subsidiary bodies are postponed due to the HELCOM strategic pause until further notice, however, informal consultation sessions, without Russian participation, are organized and hosted by a Contracting Party.
The informal consultation sessions process and discuss documents and provide guidance and recommendations as to how to progress work.

Description
While official meetings of all HELCOM Working and Experts Groups and other subsidiary bodies are postponed due to the HELCOM strategic pause until further notice, informal consultation sessions, without Russian participation, can be organized and hosted by a Contracting Party.
Sweden hereby invites the Contracting Parties of HELCOM representing EU and EU Member States as well as HELCOM Observers to the 2nd Informal Consultation Session on Marine Litter Indicators and Monitoring (IC ML INDICATORS 2-2025) to be held on 18 March 2025. The session will start at 10:00 (timezone: Helsinki / Riga) on 18 March 2025 and is expected to terminate by 17:00 (timezone: Helsinki / Riga) on the same day.
Sweden invites the Secretariat to assist in the practicalities of the session by circulating this invitation to the relevant contacts, setting up the registration and distributing the documents for the session.
The informal consultation session can process and discuss documents and provide guidance and recommendations as to how to progress work. Issues requiring a formal decision will be handled by a correspondence procedure, including also Russia, after the informal consultation session.
