The manual includes brief information on sources of water pollution in water bodies and recommendations on how to create an initiative group for observations. This is a set of methods for public research of water bodies of the Baltic Sea, as well as a description of the methodology for conducting
hydrochemical studies of surface waters, which is available to a wide range
of public observers/river watchers.
In the Annex you will also find a protocol that can be used to record the results of public water quality monitoring. The protocol also includes the simplest methods of bioindication – measuring the impact on the environment by examining its inhabitants.
