The IUCN Regional Conservation Forum for Europe, North and Central Asia, took place in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, from 1 to 3 July 2019, as part of Union-wide preparation for the IUCN Congress 2020.
The high-level session, including a panel debate on Post 2020 Biodiversity Framework, set the stage on the first day of the Forum.
In the afternoon there were conversations on thematic sessions on selected topics of regional interest, such as sustainable farming, natural capital, climate change and many more.Plus, outstanding networking opportunities by enjoying poster exhibitions, stands and knowledge cafés and preparations for the
IUCN Congress 2020. After introducing and discussing the IUCN Global Programme 2021-2024 they held separate sessions to identify priorities for the two regions, and explore ways to reflect them adequately in our next four-year workplans.
