What is UBC?
Union of the Baltic Cities (UBC) is one the leading network of cities in the Baltic Sea Region with Member Cities from Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, and Sweden. Founded in 1991 in Gdańsk, UBC is a voluntary, proactive network mobilizing the shared potential of its member cities.
Beskrivning
The XVII UBC General Conference was held in Palanga (Lithuania), on 24-26 October 2023. For this year's edition on "Baltic Sea cities supporting Ukraine", the conference discussed how to integrate Ukrainian and other refugees from war-torn countries.
Renewable energy, decarbonisation, youth involvement and digital transformation were also on the conference agenda.
