On Sunday, 21 May 2023, we celebrated the International Day of the Baltic Harbour Porpoise (#IDBHP)* 🐬 at the Baltic Sea Science Center
in Stockholm!
CCB organized an art workshop with the visual eco-activist Vegan Flava and a "sense room" to raise awareness about the Baltic harbour porpoise and the underwater noise issue.
The offline event was linked to a digital action to support the petition #SaveTheBalticPorpoise, in collaboration with WeMove Europe.

* The third Sunday in May of each year was declared by UNEP/ASCOBANS as the “International Day of the Baltic Harbour Porpoise” in order to raise awareness of the critical situation of the harbour porpoise, the only whale resident in the Baltic Sea.
With only a few hundred animals, the Baltic harbour porpoise is critically endangered, and urgent measures are needed to save the population.
