The 2nd Informal Consultation Session of the Reduction of Pressures from HELCOM Sea-based Sources Working Group (IC WG SEA-BASED PRESSURES 2-2023), hosted by Estonia, was held online on 21-23 November 2023.
The Session was attended by Delegations from Denmark, Estonia, European Union, Finland, Lithuania, Germany, Poland and Sweden and by Observers from CCB, KIMO International, WWF Deutschland, Council of the Baltic Sea States, Race For The Baltic, Federation of European Aquaculture Producers (FEAP), and World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF Finland).

Outcomes of the meeting:
- The Session reviewed HELCOM Recommendation 17/3 on information and consultation with regard to construction of new installations affecting the Baltic Sea and submit a document for consideration to WG Sea-based pressures and the HELCOM-VASAB MSP Working Group, with a view to clarifying procedures related to informing about large infrastructure projects in the Baltic Sea area that have transboundary effects.
