Beskrivning

CCB's CoastWatch training for its MOs and partners was on April 22 from 13:00 to 18:00 on the seaside of Latvia in Jurmala. The number of participants was limited to 17 people.

This training was the opportunity to dive into CoastWatch and Plastic monitoring with presentations of the methodology followed by practical observations.

Thank you to all participants who participated in the training despite the snowstorm!

Coastwatch is a tool for those who are interested in citizen science and want to personally participate in public observations of the sea coasts, identify problems, and help find solutions to preserve the natural environment of the Baltic Sea.

Why CoastWatch is important?
- Review of research methods:
- marine and coastal litter,
- brand audit,
- guidelines on how to use research data,
- fieldwork on the coast, analysis of observations and collected findings.
