Beskrivning

EVENT CANCELLED - unfortunately, we have to cancel the offshore wind workshop we were planning at the Stockholm University Baltic Sea Centre on June 14 together with Save The Baltic Sea Expedition as some of the panellists are not able to attend the event. We apologize for any inconvenience caused

Climate change is having an increasing impact on the Baltic Sea environment and the people who depend on it. As we strive for sustainable energy solutions such as offshore wind energy, it is crucial to address the safety of our marine environment. Join Coalition Clean Baltic and Save The Baltic Sea for a workshop that will bring together environmental NGOs, science and industry representatives to explore the role of offshore wind energy in the Baltic Sea’s future.
The workshop aims to foster collaboration among science, industry and non-governmental organizations in order to ensure that the growth of offshore wind energy aligns with the preservation of our marine ecosystems.

The event coincides with the arrival of the Save The Baltic Sea hiking expedition to Stockholm. Save The Baltic Sea is an environmental initiative taking place throughout 2024, involving a team of activists hiking all around the Baltic Sea to raise awareness about its critical state and inspire collective action for a better future of our waters. During the workshop, participants will get a chance to hear about the expedition team’s journey.
