On 10 & 11 November 2021 was held online by HELCOM the 12th Meeting of the Group on Sustainable Agricultural Practices.
Mikhail Durkin, CCB Executive Secretary, attended the meeting. Maria Staniszewska who works for Poland Polish Ecological Club participated to the event on behalf of CCB. Gunnar Norén, CCB Senior Advisor also took part in the meeting.
What is HELCOM?
The Baltic Marine Environment Protection Commission – also known as the Helsinki Commission (HELCOM) – is an intergovernmental organization (IGO) and a regional sea convention in the Baltic Sea area, consisting of ten Contracting Parties, namely Denmark, Estonia, the European Union, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia and Sweden. HELCOM is the governing body of the Helsinki Convention and a platform for environmental policy making at the regional level. HELCOM was established about four decades ago to protect the marine environment of the Baltic Sea from all sources of pollution through intergovernmental cooperation.
