International Workshop on transboundary river basin management in the eastern part of the Baltic Sea catchment area was arranged by CCB with the financial support of NCM and the EU LIFE Programme on 18 January 2017 at Minsk, BelarusThe Seminar brought together NGOs, media, public, students and researchers, national, regional and local authorities of Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia and Sweden. The event was organized with support of the Centre for environmental solutions.
The Seminar was attended by more than 60 participants.
The aim of the Seminar was to summarize the experience in the field of integrated management of international river basins, as well as to discuss the possibilities of creating and work of river basin councils. Besides traditional thematic reports, the seminar also provided opportunity to interact in working groups where participants could develop joint solutions for water management challenges in the Baltic sea region.
