The aim of the initiative is to develop and promote organic and sustainable agriculture in the Baltic Sea Region, in collaboration with other NGOs and partners.
GESCHICHTE DES PROJEKTS
CCB hat die Initiative „Greener Agriculture for a Bluer Baltic Sea“ (GABBS) unter dem neuen Namen „Greener Agriculture for a Sustainable Sea“ (GRASS) neu gestartet. Das neue Konzept besteht wie geplant aus einer Jahreskonferenz und themenbezogenen Workshops im Laufe des Jahres. Normalerweise versammelt es eine breite Vertretung nationaler und internationaler Interessenvertreter aus Politik, Forschung, Zivilgesellschaft, Industrie und der breiten Öffentlichkeit.
In connection to the GRASS Conference, we also supported the re-launch of the WWF Baltic Sea Farmer of the Year Award (BSFYA) competition to cover the whole BSR (including 8 EU and 3 non-EU countries) – and within it, promoted and arranged the competition in Belarus and Ukraine through national member organizations.
Diese Arbeit bestand aus der Aktualisierung und Anpassung (in Abstimmung mit dem WWF und lokalen Partnern) der Vergabekriterien und -kategorien an die örtlichen Gegebenheiten sowie der Werbung und Kommunikation für die örtliche Bauerngemeinschaft.

GRASS-KONFERENZ IN KÜRZE
Warum organisieren wir diese Veranstaltung?
CCB strongly promotes organic farming principles and changes to industrial animal farming, as well as the use of nutrient balances and sustainable agricultural methods to curb inputs of nutrients in the Baltic waters.
We will continue the arrangement of the GRASS Conference with regional partners, e.g. HELCOM, WWF BEP, CBSS and EUSBSR within years to come.
Was sind die Auswirkungen?
Die GRASS-Konferenz richtet sich an ein breites Spektrum von Interessenvertretern, darunter Landwirte, Forscher, Akademiker, Entscheidungsträger und die breite Öffentlichkeit und wird zu den folgenden Maßnahmen des überarbeiteten HELCOM-Aktionsplans für die Ostsee (BSAP) beitragen:

Die GRASS-Konferenz 2024 fand am 26. November online und am 28. November 2024 offline in Polen statt.
