What is ASCOBANS?
ASCOBANS was concluded in 1991 as the Agreement on the Conservation of Small Cetaceans of the Baltic and North Seas (ASCOBANS) under the auspices of the Convention on Migratory Species (CMS or Bonn Convention) and entered into force in 1994. To know more about it.
Beschreibung
The online meeting reviewed progress under the ASCOBANS Recovery Plan for Harbour Porpoises (Jastarnia Plan) and the ASCOBANS Conservation Plan for the Harbour Porpoise Population in the Western Baltic, the Belt Sea and the Kattegat (WBBK Plan).
This event allowed participants to learn about complementary initiatives; and aimed to move implementation forward.
