The 3rd Marine Biogeographical Seminar for the Baltic Sea took place on 8-10 November 2023 in Riga, Latvia.

Outcome of the event:- This seminar focused on reviewing the marine part of the pledges which countries submit for the targets on protected areas and status improvement of species and habitats in the EU Biodiversity Strategy for 2030.
- On the second day of the seminar, there were three thematic sessions on strict protection, nature restoration, and renewable energy and marine conservation.
- The topics presented and discussed at the seminar were of great relevance for CCB's activities related to biodiversity and the PROTECT BALTIC project (including Marine Protection, Strict protection, conservation objectives in Natura 2000 areas and offshore renewable energy in the Baltic Sea region).
