The Sixth Meeting of the HELCOM Group on Sustainable Agricultural Practices (AGRI 6-2018) was held at the premises of the Ministry of Agriculture, in Riga, Latvia.
The Meeting was opened on Tuesday, 15 May, at 9 and terminated on Wednesday, 16 May 2018, at 14.
The key themes of the Meeting were the organization of the work on regional nutrient recycling strategy and the revision of the part 2 of
Annex III
of the
Helsinki Convention. The Meeting also discussed revision of
HELCOM Recommendation 24/3, development of guidelines/recommendation for the use of national manure
standards and other themes. The group was also invited to evaluate the results achieved in the past working periods and discuss prolongation of the group mandate as well as possible modifications in the group’s Terms of Reference.
